Welcome to the Information Systems Program!
About The MS - IS Program
The mission of the MS-IS degree program at Tarleton State University is to develop students’ current knowledge in the Information Systems/Technology (IS/IT) management field, to enhance their depth and breadth of technical knowledge, their analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills, and to prepare graduates for success in their careers. The MS-IS is not a technological degree per se, but rather a degree to support professionals in business environments who have responsibility for managing or decision-making relative to IS/IT resources, operations, and personnel. It has a clear focus on IS/IT resources and systems supporting the business purposes of organizations. The student population in this program ranges in background from current IS/IT professional practitioners, to recent graduates from undergraduate studies, to professionals in allied business fields who seek to develop more depth in the IS/IT management field for career enhancement or change.
