MISSION: The mission of the Department of Psychological Sciences is to provide challenging opportunities at the undergraduate level that will enable students to acquire the necessary academic and leadership skills and cultural experiences to be successful in mental health and the behavioral sciences
GOALS: The Department of Psychological Sciences is committed to encouraging and supporting scholarship by faculty and students, providing the best practices in teaching and learning, updating the curriculum to meet the needs of the psychology profession, and seeking diversity within the faculty and student populations to reflect and meet the needs of society at large.
WELCOME: The purpose of this site is to allow you to investigate our department so as to learn about our faculty, our students, and our staff. Some may be interested in our undergraduate program while others may be interested in the research activities of our faculty.
The department is a community of scholars with expertise in applied psychology and experimental research. We offer courses at the main campus in Stephenville, online, and at satellite locations in Fort Worth, Midlothian and Waco.
The Psychology major is one of the largest at Tarleton State University. Graduates earn the Bachelor of Science degree.
