Welcome to the Renaissance Scholars Program!
What is a Renaissance Scholar?
Renaissance Scholars are academically talented students interested in teaching at the high school level. A 3.0 grade-point average is required and participation in the Honors program is strongly encouraged. As a Renaissance Scholar you will enjoy meeting other future secondary teachers as well as interacting with a faculty mentor in your academic area. Being a Renaissance Scholar increases your eligibility for scholarships and your marketability by earning your teacher certification in two fields. Other benefits include being highly prepared for success in the teaching profession, networking with professional educators in public schools, attending special fellowship activities, and graduating with a unique distinction.
