The Office of Proposal Development maintains lists of funding opportunities from both public and private sources.

Tarleton

The University Research Committee's objective is to develop the university's research efforts, improve its research accomplishments, and enhance the university's and faculty's visibility within the academic community.  University Research Committee members are faculty representing each College.  Applications for academic year funding typically are due in late summer or early fall.

Staff Council Staff Development Grants are awarded to Tarleton staff members for professional development activities like conferences, meetings, workshops, and online training.

Foundations

The Foundation Center provides information about recent foundation Requests for Proposals (RFP), as well as free minimal high level information about foundations nationwide.  Access to detailed information about a specific foundation is available by paid subscription.

The Non-Profit Resource Center of Texas provides information about Texas foundations, including the types of projects they are interested in funding, examples of organizations they have funded, and the average amount of funding they typically provide.  Call the Office of Sponsored Projects (ext. 9463) to obtain subscriber log-on information.
