Future International Students
Hello from the Office of International Programs at Tarleton State University. Here at TSU, you will find a friendly environment that provides you with academic and cultural services of the highest quality. Students, faculty, and staff create the "Tarleton Family," and we extend to you a real Texas welcome. Our dedicated faculty is well known for exceptional teaching and research. As part of the Texas A & M University System, Tarleton State University offers a wide variety of degree programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
The Office of International Programs is devoted to international students, and we strive to encourage them to have successful educational, cultural, and personal experiences leading to their graduation. President Dominic Dottavio’s dedication to a culture of campus globalization encourages us to move forward as we “expand our horizons” and “extend our reach.” Please take a moment to read two important communications from Dr. Dottavio, both of which he addressed to the campus community. The first, a speech entitled “The Role of Diversity and Global Education,” was delivered on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, and emphasizes the importance of the university “fostering a learning environment that values an understanding of world culture.” The second, a university-wide email sent during International Week on Monday, November 15, 2010, identifies “Global Awareness” as a “Core Value” of Tarleton State University.
We hope you come to Tarleton, ready to enrich your life and ours, ready to start your journey as a Tarleton Texan, and ready to experience academic success. We are pleased to be part of the Center for Global and Multicultural Initiatives and look forward to welcoming you.
Dr. Marilyn Robitaille, Director
