Master of Accounting
The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) is designed to provide students who already have an undergraduate accounting degree with the advanced knowledge required for a successful career in accounting-related fields. In addition, the degree will provide students with the additional knowledge and hours required above an undergraduate degree to sit for the CPA exam. Tarleton’s Master of Accounting (MAcc) program is offered in Stephenville and at the Southwest Metroplex (Fort Worth Hickman Building.
If you plan on launching your career in accounting, your focus should be on getting as much accounting-oriented education as you can. Tarleton’s MAcc is a graduate professional degree designed to prepare students for public accounting and to provide them with the 150 credit hours required by most states before taking the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination. The program is designed to not only prepare students for the CPA examination but also to provide a strong knowledge of accounting principles and business applications.

Our students acquire the experience of solving complex problems in unconventional settings, which prepares them to make an immediate impact in the public, corporate, governmental, or nonprofit accounting fields.
