MSG Ronald Corella

Senior Military Instructor

MSG Ron Corella first entered the Army on 31 May 1993. He attended infantry OSUT at Fort Benning GA and was awarded the MOS of 11C infantry mortar men. His duty positions include Gunner in G Trp 2/3 ACR Fort Bliss, Texas; Team Leader in G Trp 2/3 ACR Fort Carson, Colorado; Squad Leader in HHT 1/11 ACR Fort Irwin, California; Section Sergeant in C Co 1/17 Inf Fort Wainwright, Alaska; Platoon Sergeant in K Trp 3/3 ACR Fort Carson, Colorado and Fort Hood, Texas; and First Sergeant in B 1-22 (BOLC) Fort Sill, Oklahoma; D Co 2/2 SCR Rose Barracks, Germany; and HHC 2/2 CR Rose Barracks, Germany. During his assignments MSG Corella has deployed three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and once in support Operation Enduring Freedom.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with Valor Device; The Bronze Star (2-OLC); Meritorious Service Medal ( 1-OLC); Army Commendation Medal with Valor Device (1-OLC); Army Commendation Medal ( 5-OLC); Army Achievement Medal ( 7-OLC); Army Good Conduct (6th award); National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star; Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1- campaign star); Iraqi Campaign Medal (3-campaign stars); Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 3); Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon (5th award); ISAF NATO medal; the Expert Infantryman’s Badge; and the Combat Infantry’s Badge.

MSG Corella hails from Salinas, California and is married to the former Lourdes Rivera of Bronx, New York and they have two daughters Stephanie and Jessica.
