Wind Ensemble Partnership With the Erath County Child Welfare Board's Rainbow Room a Success!
The school superintendents from both Stephenville & Dublin joined in a joint initiative along with Dr. Lisette Dottavio and the Tarleton State University Fine Arts Department in supporting the Erath County’s Child Welfare Board Rainbow Room this holiday season. In short, the Rainbow Room provides materials to children who are subjects of an ongoing investigation and/or subsequent opening of case for family preservation services.
On Monday, December 6, 2010, the Tarleton State University Wind Ensemble held a concert in celebration of the holiday season. In addition to some holiday music and cheer, Santa Claus was present and took pictures of all children who brought in a donation for the Rainbow Room. Pictures were handled by the Tarleton State University’s Media Relations and are now available for the parents to download from a secured website (details provided on the card handed out at the concert. If you lost your card, please contact Dr. Anthony Pursell for details). Parents are now able to print pictures at their leisure with no regard to copyright or additional costs.
Many thanks to the folks in Erath County for supporting the Rainbow Room and the Tarleton Wind Ensemble! Happy Holidays!
