Tarleton State Bands

The Tarleton State Wind Ensemble and University Band presented the final concert of the Fall 2011 semester on Monday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium.  The theme for this concert was ‘What If They Are Right?’ and featured a multimedia experience for concertgoers that included a light show and projected video and photographs.  Music and themes from some of life’s greatest mysteries was exhibited including: the existence of alien life and angels to the prophecies depicting the end of the world.  Two new selections by Michael Schelle (Butler University) and Tarleton’s Director of Bands, Anthony Pursell were premiered.  Adjunct instructor of trombone, Justin Cook was featured in Anthony Pursell’s arrangement, A Song for Japan.  Due to some images and video, this concert was been voluntarily rated PG.
