Trigonometry

Vectors are used throughout physics courses from graduate to high school level. Approximately 70% of problems in Introductory Physics courses involve vectors. Because Trigonometry is needed to work with vectors, a solid grasp of Trigonometry is essential for student success in physics. This Module assumes that the student is either taking or has completed a course in either Trigonometry or PreCalculus. Thus, the materials in this Module are meant only as a review of the most important concepts of trigonometry that are used to solve physics problems. Additional review material can be found on the web or in the references cited on this website.
