- Regular membership is open to majors in biological science who are sophomores, juniors, or seniors, have completed at least 12 hours of biology coursework in biological science with an average grade of B or higher, have a minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0, and a GPA of at least 3.25 in biology. Only “biology” or “biomedical science” majors are eligible for regular membership. The membership fee is a $45 one-time fee (national membership) + $10.00 per semester (local dues).
- Associate membership is open to students who have a strong interest in the biological sciences, but do not meet all of the criteria for regular membership. The membership fee is a $35 one-time fee (national membership) + $10.00 per semester (local dues). Associate members become eligible for full membership once they meet the requirements listed above.
- Graduate membership is open to graduate students meeting the criteria for full members; membership fee is same as for full membership. Graduate members may participate in the local activities of any chapter except for the holding of constitutionally specified chapter offices and voting on chapter membership and national matters. They may attend district or national conventions.
- Regular and graduate members shall remain members for life.

New members are formally inducted during our induction ceremony (held at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters).
