Have you never tried,
To hold stars in your hands,
As they circle round your wrists
And fan round your head?
Have you tried to hold the sunlight
Puddling through the mountain clouds, to a window, to the floor
Like a golden spring falling through the blue ice air?
Cup it so that it warmed your palms
And lit up the darkness in your face?
She can slide on beams from the moon now,
Her breaths are in the breeze,
And so she will never be completely gone.
So long as earth still moves,
And we still live and love.
