The Department of Student Publications at Tarleton State University offers an experimental education for students who wish to learn journalistic writing, reporting and photographic practices and technical methods used to design and reproduce publications, while providing a vehicle for the free exchange of information, ideas and opinions concerning university people and events.
The Office of Student Publications is comprised of the JTAC News newspaper and the Grassburr yearbook. Both of these publications are created and produced by students of Tarleton State University. The staffs of the publications consist of both paid positions and contributors, all of whom gain invaluable real-world experience.
