Committee Chair Responsibilities
  • Plan committee meetings
  • Organize committee training and activities
  • Serve as assessment consultant for committee members
  • Keep Provost and Associate Vice President for Assessment, Curriculum and Outreach informed of committee activities and plans
  • Report committee progress to Associate Vice President for Assessment, Curriculum and Outreach
Academic-Support Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Serve as liaison with specifically assigned constituents within Academic Affairs
  • Serve as assessment/evaluation resource person for assigned constituents, including General Education
  • Assure that assigned constituents are kept up to date on assessment/evaluation activities, procedure, and schedules
  • Provide assessment/evaluation training and support for assigned constituents
  • Review annual plans for academic assessment/evaluation for all assigned constituent
Department-Head Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Assure dean and department heads within the college are kept up to date regarding assessment and evaluation activities, procedures, and schedules
  • Serve as liaison with dean and other department heads within the college
  • Serve as resource person for budget-unit evaluation in the college
  • Provide budget-unit evaluation training and coaching within the college
  • Review all plans for annual budget-unit evaluation plans within college
  • Review all plans for annual budget-unit evaluation plans within one other college, as assigned
  • Review and report compliance regarding evaluation activities, procedures, and schedules for all budget units within the college
  • Serve as liaison with dean and other department heads within the college

  • Review all plans for annual budget-unit evaluation plans within college
  • Review all plans for annual budget-unit evaluation plans within one other college, as assigned
  • Review and report compliance regarding evaluation activities, procedures, and schedules for all budget-units within the college
College-Faculty Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Assure academic-program faculty within the college are kept up to date regarding assessment and evaluation activities, procedures, and schedules
  • Serve as liaison with academic-program faculty within the college
  • Serve as resource person for academic-program assessment in the college
  • Provide academic-program assessment training and coaching within the college
  • Review all plans for annual academic-program assessment within the college
  • Review all plans for annual academic-program assessment within one other college, as assigned
  • Review and report compliance regarding assessment activities, procedures, and schedules for all academic programs within the college
Special-Project Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Complete special projects as needed/assigned
  • Need for these members will be evaluated annually, with one-year appointments based on high-need situations; appointments may be renewed only if continued need is demonstrated
  • Appointments made by Tarleton State University’s Office of Academic Affairs
