IF WE RACE TO THE MOON AGAIN

Brock Miller

If we race to the moon again
it will be different.
We will be thinking about lost earth
and a waste ahead and behind,
thinking of melting the ice
and opening resorts with giant
earth-themes.
Writers will escape to the dark side,
sit and type for days in the dust.
But the stars will be greater than ever,
and we won’t have dominion
over anything
but craters.
