CLAUSTROPHOBIA

Rochelle Gregory

Inside the Sonic bathroom
The knob begins to slide.
Around around it turns
Then I begin to cry.

Inside the Sonic bathroom
The room holds me in peril.
Banging screaming for freedom
I become hysterical.

Inside the Sonic bathroom
My mother slaps me to the floor.
Sixteen years have passed
And I never lock a door.
