My Little Piece of Hypocrisy
As you cast that first stone
And shatter a life
Can you feel the flames
Licking your soles?
A whisper in your ear
Slithers through your mind
Bids you on
Strengthens your pitching arm
Picking up another stone
You hear the ground split
But you’re too busy
Planning the next shot
Balancing on the precipice,
You take aim again.
As you lean too far back,
Watch out for the abyss.
