I began the graduate program in Fall 2013. I chose Tarleton State University for my undergraduate and graduate degree and to be a full time staff member because Tarleton State University feels like home.

My favorite professor is Dr. Joanna Shaw. I took her as an undergraduate student for Human Resource Management in the online format. Though we were in a virtual classroom, she allowed me to see my full potential and also encouraged and challenged me. Dr. Heather Labansat in the Psychology department is absolutely amazing and made the greatest impact on me. She has been a mentor from my undergraduate to graduate studies. She holds me accountable and helps me to remember the goals of my academic achievements.

As I continue my studies in Management and Leadership, leadership now really speaks to me. To be the best leader, I believe you must lead by example and also help others achieve their goals and dreams. Leadership is about one life influencing another. I feel like graduate school has allowed me to become a better person. I believe education allows us to become more open minded and comprehend a plethora of life circumstances.

You will not find a better program economically, but beyond that you will have a support system that is second to none to help you achieve your goals.
