American Society for Theater Research - provides an organization and public voice for theatre scholars and promotes the cause of theatre as a field for serious scholarly study and research.  

McCoy's Guide to Theatre and Performance Studies - excellent links to many different aspects of theater.

Performing Arts Online - All of the links are relevant to the Performing arts industry, and all are arranged alphabetically.

Skenotheke: Images of the Ancient Stage - One of the few sites for ancient theater history and stagecraft.

Voice of the Shuttle Theatre Studies - Academic theater sites.

Drama

Centre for Research in Early English Drama | Records of Early English Drama (REED) - This site from the University of Toronto covers Medieval, Renaissance, and Early Modern drama. Categories include: General Theatre Resources, Resources for Mediaeval and Early Modern Theatre, Other Theatre History Sites, Shakespeare, Early Music and Dance, General Resources for Medieval, Renaissance, or Early Modern Lit, E-Journals, and Research Links: MSS, Palaeography, and Documentary Editing.

Five 16th Century Latin Plays in English Translation - This site from the University of Toronto has, as it says translations of Latin plays. These translations are not just literal versions but are readable prose, close to the Latin, in the tradition of the Loeb translations of the Classics.

Middle English Plays - Part of the larger multi-award winning Luminarium web site, this portion includes several plays in Middle English, as well as essays and articles.

Theater education

American Alliance for Theater and Education - promotes standards of excellence in theatre and theatre education and supports the power of the creative experience. AATE connects educators, artists, researchers, scholars and administrators, and provides opportunities for members to learn from each other, and exchange and diversify their practices, their audiences, and their perspectives.

Educational Theatre Association - Association devoted to promoting and supporting educational theater programs, primarily at middle and high school levels.
