What is National Student Exchange?
National Student Exchange (NSE) is a valuable way to travel and study while working toward a degree. Study away opportunities through NSE inspire academic enrichment, personal exploration, and student development by facilitating accessible collegiate exchange among member colleges and universities throughout the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands.
How does it Work?
Students can study away through National Student Exchange for a single semester, or an academic year, while maintaining status as a Tarleton student. Many participating institutions allow students to choose between two payment options, while others may only accept one or the other. The Host Pay option allows students to pay in-state tuition to the institution they are attending on exchange. The Home Pay option allows students to continue pay Tarleton tuition and fees while attending the host school. Full credit is given for coursework satisfactorily completed on exchange as students will complete an advising agreement prior to exchange. Application Deadline
The Priority Placement application deadline for Academic Year 2024-25 is February 24, 2024. Priority Placements will be made at the NSE Placement Conference in early March. This is your best chance of getting placed at your first-choice campus. If you miss the deadline and are still interested in participating, please contact Tarleton’s NSE Coordinator, Melody Smith at [email protected], as some universities continue to accept students for post-conference placement.
