Adventure Trips

Feeling adventurous?  Prove it.

Join Tarleton Outdoor Pursuits for an adventure! Come on either a day trip, a weekend trip, or our annual spring break trip. Our professional staff will guide you through your outdoor experience, encouraging you to step outside your comfort zone and have fun!

See below for more information about the trips we will be taking this semester.

Fall 2017 Trips & Clinics

Prices of the weekend trips include transportation, meals, entrance fees, and all equipment unless otherwise noted. On day trips, participants will need to provide their own lunch.  Sign up for trips at the rock wall or the checkout center, located at the back of the Rec.

** All pre-trip meetings are mandatory - they're on the Wednesday before the trip at 8PM. Meet in the rock wall. **


Fly-fishing Clinic

Learn the basics of fly-fishing at our free clinic! Our experienced staff will guide you through your first cast, along with providing information about different flies attracting different species of fish depending on the water.

Backpacking 101: Lunch and Learn

Join Outdoor Pursuits as we pair up with Fitness and Wellness to learn Backpacking basics! Free lunch provided. Earn PD points for attending!

Rec Classroom


Fire Starting Clinic

Learn how to start a fire with minimal materials in a variety of situations. Then test your survival skills to see if you could make a fire in the wilderness.

Monday, October 30 • 5PM – 7PM

Behind the Rec, West Entrance


S'mores and Cocoa Social

Make your own s'mores for free and enjoy some hot chocolate! Ask about our remaining trips this semester or the exciting things we have planned next semester.

Wednesday, November 8 • 6PM – 8PM
