Tarleton Gateway to Success (TGS) – STEPHENVILLE CAMPUS
The Tarleton Gateway to Success (TGS) program is an alternative admission program in which select freshmen, who have met conditional admission requirements, are allowed to earn full admission for Fall by taking Summer courses.
Students who have been invited to participate in the TGS program on the Stephenville campus, from the Undergraduate Admissions Office, will be taking classes in-person on the Stephenville campus. For Stephenville, the program is limited to the first 100 students who return their participation agreement.
Important Dates for the Stephenville Campus
Courses for the Tarleton Gateway to Success program occur during the 2nd Summer 5-Week Session, which runs from June 30th – July 31st. Students who have applied to live on-campus will move in before the Summer semester begins.
Summer 2025 Dates for TGS – Stephenville Campus
- June 23rd – TGS Payment Deadline
- June 28th – Move-In (for those living on-campus)
- June 29th – Mandatory TGS Onboarding
- June 30th – First Day of Class
- Courses will be in-person, Monday through Thursday, 10:00-11:40am and 1:00-2:40pm
- July 31st – Last Day of Class
- August 1st – Move-Out (for those living on-campus)
Housing
Students participating in the TGS program on the Stephenville campus have the option to:
- live on-campus, or
- live at home and commute to the Stephenville campus for all classes and scheduled activities
On-campus housing is highly preferred by TGS students. If a student wishes to live on-campus, they will need to complete a Summer Housing Application (once it opens in March) and pay the one-time $100 Housing Application fee.
Residence Hall and Rates for Summer 2025
- Stephenville on-campus TGS students will be housed in Centennial Hall
- The estimated cost is $712 for housing and $1,120 for the meal plan.
- Meal plans are required for any student who lives on campus, including the Summer semester.
- The meal plan is tailored for the TGS program, including lunch and dinner for June 28th – July 31st.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a TGS Student Have to Live On Campus?
No – Stephenville campus TGS students have the option to live on or off campus for the Summer TGS program. However, all incoming students are required to live on campus for the Fall and Spring semesters, unless they have applied and qualified for an Off Campus Exemption.
Can a Stephenville Student Complete the TGS Program in Fort Worth?
No – Students are admitted to the TGS program based on the campus they will be attending during the Fall semester. If admitted to TGS-Stephenville, students will be required to complete courses and activities in Stephenville.
When are Classes?
Courses begin June 30th and end July 31st. Courses will be in-person, on the Stephenville campus, Monday through Thursday, from 10:00-11:40am and 1:00-2:40pm.
