Tarleton Gateway to Success (TGS) – FORT WORTH CAMPUS

The Tarleton Gateway to Success (TGS) program is an alternative admission program in which select freshmen, who have met conditional admission requirements, are allowed to earn full admission for Fall by taking Summer courses.

Students who have been invited to participate in the TGS program on the Fort Worth campus, from the Undergraduate Admissions Office, will be taking classes in-person on the Fort Worth campus. For Fort Worth, the program is limited to the first 50 students who return their participation agreement.

Important Dates for the Fort Worth Campus

Courses for the Tarleton Gateway to Success program occur during the 2nd Summer 5-Week Session, which runs from June 30th – July 31st.

Summer 2025 Dates for TGS – Fort Worth Campus

  • June 23rd – TGS Payment Deadline
  • June 27th – Mandatory TGS Onboarding
  • June 30th – First Day of Class
    • Courses will be in-person, Monday through Thursday, 10:00-11:40am and 1:00-2:40pm
  • July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th, – Mandatory TGS Tuesday Events
    • TGS Tuesday will occur weekly from 3:00-4:00pm
  • July 31st – Last Day of Class

TGS Tuesday

Students participating in the TGS program on the Fort Worth campus will have weekly events called “TGS Tuesday”. Participation in these events will be mandatory for TGS completion and full admission for Fall. TGS Tuesday events will occur every Tuesday during the 2nd Summer 5-Week Session (June 30th – July 31st) from 3:00 – 4:00pm.

TGS Tuesday is a weekly event built to connect you with important student supports offered on campus for both academic resources and overall student wellbeing while fostering connections and growth with campus partners and peers. Some resources which may be introduced during these events could include the Achievement Center, Rickett Library, Texan SMART, Career Services, and other academic and campus resources.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is On-Campus Housing Available?

No – The Fort Worth campus does not have any residence halls at this time. Therefore, students participating in the Fort Worth TGS program will be required to live at home and commute to campus for courses and other TGS events.

Can a Fort Worth Student Complete the TGS Program in Stephenville?

No – Students are admitted to the TGS program based on the campus they will be attending during the Fall semester. If admitted to TGS-Fort Worth, students will be required to complete courses and activities in Fort Worth.

When are Classes?

Courses begin June 30th and end July 31st. Courses will be in-person, on the Fort Worth campus, Monday through Thursday, from 10:00-11:40am and 1:00-2:40pm.

Will I Need a Parking Pass for the Fort Worth Campus?

Yes – Students attending the Fort Worth campus are required to purchase a parking pass. For the Summer TGS program, a parking pass will be provided to the student at TGS Onboarding. For Fall, one needs to be purchased online.
