Begun in Spring 2021, the Purple Pride is the competitive winterguard at Tarleton State University. The group is comprised of Tarleton students from majors across campus.
Purple Pride prepares a competitive show and competes in several competitions within the North Texas Colorguard Association circuit each spring. The group won its first NTCA Independent A Class championship in 2022.
