College is a pretty BIG deal so it’s important that you know what you’re getting into before your first official day on campus. Lucky for you, Tarleton State University has a ton of on and off campus events tailored to helping you learn more about how to bleed purple.

The BEST way to learn about the rich traditions at Tarleton State is by scheduling a campus tour. Campus tours allow students and their families the ability to learn the lay of the land while also meeting with important departments and connecting with faculty and staff. 

Tarleton State offers several types of tours for prospective and incoming students. These include campus tours, housing tours, group tours, and college-specific tours such as the Mayfield College of Engineering tour and the Agriculture Center tour.

What will happen if there’s inclement weather on my scheduled tour date?

In the event of inclement weather, a Tarleton State staff member will call you to reschedule for another time that is convenient for you.

Where do I go on the day of my campus tour? 

Please visit the Tarleton State University Welcome Center upon arrival! This is where you will meet your guide/group for the beginning of your tour. The Welcome Center is located at  1205 W. Washington Street, Stephenville, TX

Fort Worth Preview Day – May 10, 2025

Tarleton State Fort Worth’s Preview Day is designed to offer students the opportunity to meet with faculty, connect with current students and learn more about the various programs. The event allows students and their families the chance to see what life at Tarleton State Fort Worth is really like.

Junior Preview Day – May 23, 2025

Junior Preview Day is tailored to students who are looking to get an early start on their college journey!

This exclusive event allows high school juniors the opportunity to explore campus life and academic programs. Students will learn more about the traditions at Tarleton State and get the chance to start the early application process! 

Junior Preview Day is perfect for those Type A students looking into locking in their future at Tarleton State University. 

Duck Camp is a three-day, two-night camp experience for incoming freshmen. It gives students the opportunity to meet and connect with their peers while also learning more about Tarleton State’s traditions and core values.

Duck Camp is optional but highly recommended as it helps students easily transition from high school to college. 

Now, for the first time ever, there will be an additional camp available for first year Tarleton State Fort Worth students as well as transfer students attending Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco and RELLIS!
