Outdoor

  • 62,000-gallon outdoor leisure pool
  • Outdoor Pool that includes cabanas and a tanning area. Outdoor pool activities include water basketball and water volleyball.

Indoor

  • 168,000-gallon indoor lap pool
  • Indoor pool can accommodate up to 8 lanes, each 25 yards in length

Pool Rules

The head guard on shift has final say in all matters.

  • Both pool decks must remain cleared in case of emergency. Bulky Items or equipment placed on the pool deck are prohibited.
  • Any person age 17 or under must be accompanied by an adult per Tarleton Rec.
  • Diving platforms are only for diving. No hanging on diving platforms.
  • Any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs are prohibited from entering.
  • No running.
  • No food in or near the pool.
  • Do not move the furniture.
  • No large floats/tubes.
  • Changing/disposing diapers around pool areas is strictly prohibited. Diaper changes are restricted to changing stations in the locker rooms
  • The head guard on shift has the right to deny service or prohibit any pool equipment that they feel does not align with facility rules and/or makes it unsafe for themselves or patrons.
  • Alcohol and tobacco products are prohibited
  • No drinks other than water allowed in or near the pool
  • No hanging on lane dividers or handrails
  • Any person with open lesions or wounds are prohibited from entering the pool
  • Respect other swimmers.
  • No PDA.
  • Only swimsuits in the pool. No athletic shorts.
  • All swimmers must be able to swim without and aid in deep water, and could be subject to a swim test. Life jackets may be required on lifeguards discretion. ONLY U.S Coast Guard approved lifejackets are permitted.

Dress Code

Prohibited For Pool Use

  • Leggings
  • Jeans
  • Skirts
  • Leotards
  • Brazil/French Cut, thong-style, or any revealing swimwear & undergarments
  • Street clothes of any kind
  • Any baggy or loose-fitting clothing

Other Rules

  • No undergarments besides pool appropriate sports bras.
  • Upon leaving the Aquatic Center to enter the Recreation Center you must have on shoes, shirts and shorts before entering.
  • Please dry off completely before entering the Recreation Center.

Facility Rentals

Facility Rentals are available for student groups, summer camps, and more! All requests for space must be submitted 2 weeks in advance. For rental information and pricing, contact campusrec@tarleton.edu or 254-459-5382
