Class Descriptions
Ballet Fusion:
Ballet Fusion is an adult ballet training program with emphasis on safe, effective movements, exercises are based on traditional ballet principles and techniques to shape, tone & strengthen the entire body. All levels are welcome!
Barre:
This ballet inspired workout mixed with Pilates is sure to get your muscles activated while helping build strength.
Barre Fusion:
Barre Fusion is full body barre workout. With this class you will experience a mix of elements from dance, pilates, and yoga that blend to create a full body strength training workout in a fun and dynamic manner! All levels are welcome!
Cardio Dance:
Come get fit while having fun moving to music! This class offers a unique way to improve your overall health while dancing. All levels are welcome!
Core and Cardio:
A combination of cardio intervals, core strength training stations, and much more designed to give you a unique, total-body workout!
Flex & Flow:
This class concentrates on full-body flexibility to balance all muscle groups’ strength and flexibility with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. Various props will be utilized including yoga mats, therabands, yoga balls, and foam rollers. All levels welcome!
Foam Rolling:
Want to improve your range of motion, athletic performance, and reduce muscle soreness? Get rolling! This class is a combination of flexibility training and functional stretching. All levels are welcome!
Glutes & Abs:
Strengthen and tone the core area of the body including your abs, back, and bum! Let’s kick some glutes and tighten your gut while burning calories in this quick tracked class. All levels are welcome!
HIIT:
This class is a total body workout! We will use High Intensity Interval Training to improve your endurance and help you build strength. Circuit training allows you to fit more challenge into a shorter workout so you can get results and leave feeling awesome!
Indoor Cycling:
Indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun, low impact, and guaranteed to boost your cardio fitness. With great music pumping and the group cycling as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. Current Tarleton State University Students with an up-to-date Tarleton CRS gym membership will have priority in this class due to limited equipment
Kickboxing:
Build stamina and improve coordination during this high-energy workout involving a series of choreographed punches and kicks! This class combines martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio moves for a total body workout. All levels welcome! Please bring a water bottle.
Pilates:
Pilates teaches you to initiate movement from your “Power House” a term used for the musculature in the lower abdominals, low back, glutes, and inner thighs. The result? A longer, stronger, more balanced body!
Sleepy Yoga:
Add this to your evening routine if you are in need of some muscle and tension release. Sleepy Yoga is a mindful and slow-paced evening practice helps you wind down, relax, and sleep better with the help of gentle stretches, deep breathing, meditation, and guided relaxation. All levels are encouraged to participate.
*Texan Fit:
This class takes functional fitness to the next level by combining strength and endurance training with bands, kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, and bodyweight exercises. * This class is for active TSU Faculty and Staff.
Trampoline Fitness:
Where FITNESS meets FUN! Jump your way through a calorie burning, low-impact, cardiovascular workout on the Jump Sport Fitness Trampoline. Burn calories and tone up in a workout that feels more like recess! Current Tarleton State University Students with up-to-date Tarleton CRS gym memberships will have priority in this class due to limited equipment.
Walking into Wellness:
Come take this low-impact cardio exercise class to help ease you into a higher level of fitness and health. It’s safe and simple.
Yoga Flow:
Connect your mind, body and spirit in this fitness-based Yoga class. Relaxing and challenging; this class is a combination of breathing, strength, flexibility, balance and relaxation techniques. This class is perfect for beginners.
