Over the course of the semester, sixteen agricultural education majors have been student teaching in secondary agricultural education programs across the state of Texas. This newest group of agricultural teachers has spent countless hours preparing for lessons, teaching lessons, attending livestock and agricultural mechanic shows, training career development and leadership development teams, and performing every job required of a secondary agricultural education teacher. According to Dr. David Frazier, Professor of Agricultural Education, “This has been an amazing group of students that I think will have a huge impact on their future students and on the profession as a whole.” In December, these young teachers entered into the profession where they will become the next generation of Tarleton Agricultural Science teachers.
