Faculty and students from across the departments within Tarleton State’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources attended the annual meeting of the Texas Section Society for Range Management (TSSRM) in Victoria, Texas. This year’s meeting emphasis was “Rangelands in the 21st Century: Broad Demographics, New Ownerships, Innovative Research.” This year’s events included engagement and discussions with FFA students from Victoria, tours of Powderhorn WMA and Marbach Ranch, and student competitions for range plant identification and research presentations. A first for Texans attending TSSRM was the presentation of Ph.D. assistantship research by Aimee Byington from the Department of Wildlife and Natural Resources.
