Tarleton State’s College of Agriculture & Natural Resources had the privilege of hosting The Nuffield International Farming Scholars on a tour across Texas, March 23-30th.
The participants received a glimpse into Texas agriculture and the amazing people within the industry, following their visit to Brazil. Dedicated to improving agriculture by educating future leaders, they achieve this by sending scholars to other countries to learn new farming methods, which they then share with fellow agriculturalists. Visits included: Texas & Southwest Cattle Raisers Expo, Rough Creek Ranch, Superior Livestock, Tarrant County AgriLife Extension, Rural Media Group, Womack Nursery, Jay Clark Ranch, Comanche County Ag Leaders, Jay Proctor Farms, AgriLife Research Center ,Tarleton State University, Texas Department of Agriculture, Kreuz Market, and Swift River Pecans.
Following their visit to Texas, the group will continue their tour by traveling to Germany and Ireland. Thank you Dr. Jean Lonie Dudley for coordinating this tremendous effort!
