Animal Science Attends Kentucky Equine Research Conference

Tarleton Alumni Ryon Springer and Animal Science Instructor Paxton Turner

Animal Science’s Dr. Jessica Leatherwood and Ms. Paxton Turner attended the Kentucky Equine Research 27th Equine Health and Nutrition Conference in Ocala, FL. February 5-6th. The two-day scientific symposium attracted over 200 delegates from six continents. The conference featured 16 scientific presentations that covered many important topics, including respiratory and cardiovascular physiology, muscle disorders and their genetic basis, management of glandular gastric ulcers, thermoregulation, and exercise conditioning. Our faculty had the opportunity to reconnect with Tarleton alumni, develop new connections across the industry, and promote the presence of Tarleton during the conference.
