Block & Bridle Philanthropic Initiative

By: Dr. Cheyenne Runyan, Advisor

The Block and Bridle Club embarked on a philanthropic initiative this Fall, seizing the month of November as an opportunity to give back to two specific audiences. To engage the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources in this noble cause, the club organized a canned food drive competition. This friendly competition extended its reach to various organizations within the college, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie. The winning organization, determined by the highest weighing donation, earned $100 for their club. The collected cans were directed to the Tarleton Purple Pantry, an organization dedicated to connecting college students with essential food resources in the community. In a noteworthy achievement, the Block and Bridle Club proudly announces that the event resulted in over 800 pounds of donated food for the Purple Pantry.

Simultaneously, the All-American Beef Battalion Raffle is gaining momentum. Tickets, priced at $10 each or 12 for $100, offer participants a chance to win enticing prizes such as an RC cooler truck and a Tarleton fan basket. Importantly, every ticket purchase contributes directly to supporting our troops. The All-American Beef Battalion is a commendable organization committed to improving the lives of veterans, one meal at a time, by providing them with a small but meaningful connection to their home. To take part in the raffle and support this noble cause, the link for purchase is available on the Tarleton Block and Bridle Instagram. Act fast, as all sales will conclude on December 4th, with the raffle drawing to follow.
