National Farm Life Insurance Company has provided scholarships to student teachers and interns in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication since 1977. These modest scholarships were originally presented to a student teacher each semester to offset expenses, but the program has expanded to Agricultural Communications and Agri-Industries and Agencies majors as well. Each fall and spring, representatives from National Farm Life visit the intern and student teaching “blocks” and provide lunch and insights on the importance of life insurance. Kyle McGregor, President and CEO of National Farm Life was joined by fellow Tarleton Alumnus, Mark Williams, COO and Treasurer and Brad Coon, Sr. Vice President for Marketing at the January 19th presentation. “National Farm Life was founded in the shadow of agricultural education in Texas by a former high school ag teacher, and it is quite appropriate that we continue to support young professionals stepping into the agricultural industry,” McGregor said. National Farm Life is proud to support Tarleton State University’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and its students.
