The 13th Annual Tarleton Rodeo Hall of Fame Induction and Dinner was hosted by the rodeo team Friday, Nov. 4, at the Doty Rodeo Complex. For 10 years, this event has taken place annually, honoring past members of the Tarleton rodeo team.

The rodeo Hall of Fame is a way to recognize past members who have made an outstanding contribution to Tarleton State University rodeo.

Each athlete is chosen based off the idea that they have performed at a high level, and also that their performance has brought honor to Tarleton.

Rex Bland, Billy Bob Brown, Kody Engle-Granado, and Pat Yancey were inducted into the Tarleton Rodeo Hall of Fame on Friday.

“I enjoy getting to gather with past and present team members to continue showcasing the prominence of Tarleton State University and our rodeo team,” Brittany Stewart said, assistant coach of the Tarleton rodeo team.

The night also consisted of multiple fundraisers and served a steak dinner to approximately 500 people.

All proceeds of the event are put toward operating the Tarleton rodeo facilities and to generating scholarships for the students on the team.

The students on the team as well as the rodeo coaches, worked together to help make this night not only run smoothly, but to be memorable and honorable to those being inducted into the Tarleton Rodeo Hall of Fame.
