Ty Williams, a Senior Agricultural Education major from Dawson, Texas was recently chosen to serve as the National FFA Nominating Committee Chairman. Only nine students are chosen from across the country to serve on the committee and from those nine, Ty was chosen as the chair. The National FFA Officer Nominating Committee spent their time at the National FFA Convention in November, interviewing the 36 national officer candidates and eventually slated the team. The hours were long and exhausting; however, the honor of being chosen for this position is evident in Ty’s leadership ability. According to Dr. David Frazier, Professor of Agricultural Education, “This is one of the biggest honors that a student can have. The fact that Ty was chosen by the National FFA officer team to serve in this position really exemplifies the trust that they have in his leadership within the organization.”
