Code Purple is an emergency notification that allows Tarleton State University to quickly communicate health and safety-related emergency information via text message or email.
E2Campus uses industry-standard SMS text messaging protocols to send messages to your phone, therefore you do not need to install any special software to receive notifications.
Please make sure your cell phone provider allows these short code text messages to be sent from our official emergency notification provider e2Campus. Our short code numbers are 795-16 and 703-59.
Cost
Code Purple emergency notifications are a free service of Tarleton State University. Those with an unlimited text messaging plan will not have any additional fees. However, depending on your wireless carrier provider and your mobile plan, you may be charged a nominal fee (i.e. ten cents per message) to receive SMS text messages.
Mobile App
Anyone can receive Code Purple alerts without an account via the Mobile@Tarleton app, available in the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.
RSS/XML Feed
Code Purple notifications can also be published to any RSS/XML feed by selecting Copy RSS/XML feed link and pasting the link into your RSS reader.
