Project Linus

The Department of Communication Studies held its Spring 2024 Service Learning Day event – Project Linus. Named for the famous blanket-toting Peanuts character, Project Linus is a non-profit providing blankets for needy children.  All blankets are handmade by volunteer “blanketeers” and distributed nationwide.

The Department of Communication Studies will host a Project Linus event with the Dallas chapter.  Each month, the Dallas chapter of Project Linus provides over 400 blankets for seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise needy children.

About 15 student volunteers cut, tied, and packaged fleece blankets in the O.A. Grant Prem Lab on March 21 from 10 AM to 2 PM.
