McLennan Community College Student Counseling Center
A partnership between McLennan Community College and Tarleton State University
The MCC Student Counseling Center provides free, confidential, individual, group, and crisis counseling to currently enrolled MCC and University Center students in Waco, TX. The clinic’s mission is to provide psychological counseling and/or referral services to assist students in achieving academic success and personal development goals.
The MCC Student Counseling Center follows a student-oriented philosophy, respectful of individual differences, which is committed to the development of the student as a whole. Services include individual counseling for students at no cost.
Dr. Chris Wilder, LPC-S (Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling) and Lizett LaStrape, M.S., LPC (Graduate of the Counseling Program) serve as the directors for the MCC Student Counseling Center. Department of Counseling students have completed their internship at MCC Student Counseling Center as well.
