Introducing TELUS Health Student Support App

Student Counseling Services is pleased to offer a new tool, the Student Support app by TELUS Health to Tarleton State University students. The Student Support App connects students with free, confidential mental health and wellbeing support conveniently available 24/7 via the Student Support app, telephone, and web. TELUS Health content and support are available 24/7 in Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, French, and English. For other language preferences, you may request to be set up with a counselor who speaks that language (by appointment, depending on availability). The use of the Student Support App is free and confidential. Students can access TELUS Health online at myssp.app or by downloading the Student Support app, available in both Apple and Android operating systems. Learn more about the TELUS app here.

Our Mission Statement

Student Counseling Services provides short-term, solution-focused counseling and support to Tarleton State University students. We offer a variety of services to meet the wide array of our students’ needs, from mental health training, collaborative outreach, and wellness workshops, to a variety of clinical services including counseling groups, single-session individual appointments, and brief, individual counseling. Our clinicians are generalist counselors who are licensed to practice in the State of Texas. When a higher level of care or specialization is necessary, we coordinate and / or refer to appropriate providers. We provide consultation to our campus community, work collaboratively across departments and divisions, and promote resiliency, connection, hope, and healing across our community.

Our Vision Statement

The vision of Student Counseling Services is to infuse mental health and wellness into the culture and traditions of the Tarleton State University community including students, staff and faculty on the Stephenville campus and all learning centers.
