After School Camp

This After School Program was designed to assist working parents, and follows the same schedule as Stephenville Independent School District. The program will be located at the Stephenville Recreation Department, 378 W. Long Street, Stephenville, TX 76401. 

  • Homework assistance – children with homework will be able to receive assistance from camp counselors to complete any outstanding assignments
  • Snack – children will be provided an afternoon snack upon their arrival
  • Play time – children will participate in structured free play – outside time is utilized when the weather is cooperative. 
  • Transportation will be provided by Stephenville ISD Transportation. All children will be bused to the Recreation Department where our counselors are awaiting their arrival. Children will not be bused home at the end of the day – parent pick-up is REQUIRED.
  • Upon registration for the After-School program, you must contact the school in which the enrolled participant attends to verify transportation bus pass. They will need proof of enrollment in the After-School program.
  • Authorized pick-up – only authorized persons on record will be allowed to pick-up enrolled participant. If there is a change in transportation options (temporary or permanent), please contact the office at (254) 918-1295 before 3:00 pm. 
  • Early-release days must be done through SEPERATE registration (links to ER days at the bottom of our webpage)
  • Discipline – it is important for staff to maintain order to ensure that safety of all participants. The rules for the program are the same as the school. There will be no: fighting, dishonesty, abusive/foul language, disrespect to the staff, classmates and/or property.
  • Payment for any of the programs is expected to be paid by Monday morning for the week of. Payments can be made online at recpro.stephenvilletx.gov, at the Rec Hall, or over-the-phone. 

First United Methodist Church Tree House

The mission of the Tree House After School Program is to provide after-school supervision for the elementary-age children of working parents, in order to promote school achievement and good citizenship.

The Learning Ladder

Welcome to The Learning Ladder, a quality learning center located in Granbury, Texas – a truly new, innovative and affordable concept in childcare and preschool education.

Our full-time childcare center offers the finest facilities available for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years of age. Our Prekindergarten program is designed for 3-1/2 to 5 year olds. This program was designed to prepare children for their all important school years ahead. We offer a school-age program for before and after school and planned activities to keep them busy with age and developmentally appropriate groupings.

Fort Worth After School

Fort Worth After School (FWAS) is celebrating 20 plus years of successful, high level enrichment programs!   Since program inception in the Fall of 2000, FWAS has provided high quality, structured after school enrichment programs primarily for students in grades 3 – 8.   

Please contact the FWAS office to see how you can be a part of one or all of our creative endeavors such as:

  • Road Warrior – Think Soapbox Derby.   Students build cars from re-purposed material at Derby Downs Park in early Spring.
  • Recycled Art project – exactly what it sounds like!  Art made of recycled or re-purposed material.  Students create the most amazing works of art!
  • Expressions that Move You – Collaboration with Trinity Metro.  Winning art that imagines transportation in the future is prominently displayed in buses and on benches at stops.
  • Boat Regatta – Help build boats out of cardboard, glue and tape!  Then, come join us as we race them at Hurricane Harbor!  Yes….they do eventually fall apart and we sink but until after we have had a blast!

Waco After School Academy

The After School Academy (formerly known as ACE) includes a wide variety of enrichment topics. It begins immediately after school and operates until 7 p.m. The program provides a variety of activities across the following topics: arts/culture, healthy living, literacy, recreational games, math/science, and leadership. Activities are designed with educational enhancement in mind; however, the main vehicle for delivery is fun!

Mission Waco

Mission Waco’s Youth After School Program focuses on service, social skills, health, spiritual growth, academics and art. Our programming is purposeful and is structured as follows:

Academic Time: The youth are given specific times to do their homework or enrichment activities for math and literacy.

SAT ACT Tutoring: We offer SAT prep, tutoring, and general skills to help Jrs and Srs prepare for college.

Elective Classes: The youth are offered a variety of classes every semester, such as:

  • Urban Expressions Art Class with Erin Adams, Director at Mission Waco Urban Expressions
  • Jubilee Theatre Drama Class with Afton Foreman, Director at Jubilee Theatre
  • Individual Music Lessons: Cello, Piano, and Guitar are currently available for select youth through our Creative Arts program.
