M.S. in Construction Science & Management

The master’s in construction science and management (CSM) is designed to help advance construction graduates and industry professionals into more middle and senior management-level roles. The program is designed as a pathway to acquire more technical skills that are synonymous with the current changes the industry is experiencing with technological advancement. The program focuses on management applications for all interdisciplinary studies in commercial, industrial, residential, heavy civil, and mixed-used constructions, leveraging on fundamental and advanced knowledge skills in addressing the wide range of challenges required to solve practical site and office challenges the industry continues to experience.

The program is presently 100% online.

Program Focus

Our graduates will be well-rounded in decision-making, risk management, quality management, sustainable concepts, project controls, VCD BIM, and other computer applications in construction from pre-construction to maintenance stages. The program is supported by the Construction Industry Advisory Council (CIAC) which will provide our graduates with access to practical experience, research opportunities, and guest lectures using real-world scenarios to help graduates choose a part into industry roles or further in Ph.D. programs, whichever aligns best with future desires.

Program Hours

The Master of Science in CSM is designed and offered with two options:

• Option 1: Non-Thesis – 30 hours of CSM coursework
• Option 2: Thesis – 24 hours of CSM coursework and 6 hours of thesis work
