The Department of English and Languages offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts in English, the BA in English with 8-12 Language Arts Certification, and the BA in English with an emphasis in technical writing. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

History, B.A.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in History is designed to expand and enrich a student’s knowledge of history, to encourage critical thinking about the world, and to develop research, writing, and analytical abilities in United States, European and World History. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

Political Science, B.A.

The Bachelor of Art in Political Science is a 120 credit hour program that consists of three concentration areas which are American Politics, Comparative Politics/International Relations, Legal Studies and teacher certification at the secondary level. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

Spanish, B.A.

Our department offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with All Level Certification. Both degrees seek to give students high proficiency levels in the language, as well as an understanding of the Hispanic culture and analytical skills achieved through the study of Hispanic literature. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.
