Self-Design Concentration
The Self-Design concentration of Tarleton State University’s Master of Science (M.S.) in Management degree offers an entirely customizable curriculum in business management. Students within the Self-Design concentration are able to accelerate their leadership potential and project management skillset, setting them up for success as entrepreneurs, small business owners, and those seeking a wide variety of career-path options.
Personalized Curriculum
The Self-Design concentration expands your knowledge across many content areas, increasing your professional aptitude in modern, in-demand business methodologies. Since the curriculum is varied, students in this program come from many academic and professional backgrounds, including fields outside of the business world.
Taken entirely online, M.S. in Management students are able to pursue their existing careers and balance academic, work, and personal responsibilities. Many classes are available in either 8-week or 16-week formats, allowing for the program to be completed in as little as 12 months.

Master’s in Management Core Courses
Tarleton State’s M.S. in Management degree builds the advanced skills in leadership, business analytics, and operations necessary for success in a management role. The 18 credit hours of core coursework includes:
- Leadership Development or Managing Operations and Services
- Strategic Business Planning & Policy
- Organizational Behavior
- Project Management
- Managerial Statistics
- Evidence Based Decision Making
Management and Leadership Concentration Coursework
In addition to the core M.S. in Management coursework, students in the Self-Design concentration take an additional 12-18 credit hours of coursework that tailors their degree to their interests and professional aspirations. All concentration courses must be selected from Dr. Sam Pack College of Business classes or have express program/graduate director approval.
Thesis option is also available.
