Membership Dues

Member schools pay a membership fee based on district enrollment, which helps to support CTSDC’s programs, including scholarships. Minimum dues are $100.00 per district per year; maximum dues are $600 per year. All others are computed at $0.05 per student times the district’s current enrollment, as reported by the Texas Education Agency.

The Cross Timbers School Development Council (CTSDC) is a non-profit organization designed to serve the needs of its member schools. The CTSD Council has worked with school districts across the region for over 25 years and functions as a forum for school administrators to meet and share ideas and service.  Bi-annually the CTSD Council publishes a Policy Brief with articles on topics of interest to practicing school officials, at member school districts. Membership in the CTSD Council is open to all school districts.

The CTSD Council hosts two major conferences each year. The fall conference is sponsored by the Texas Association of Community Schools and focuses on current issues facing school districts and school administrators. The spring conference is sponsored by the Texas Association of School Boards and provide training for school board members in the member districts. Activities of the CTSD Council are guided by a six-member Board of Directors and coordinated by Dr. Mark Weber. Representatives of the two sponsoring associations in correspondence with Dr. Weber, plan and carry out CTSC Council events.

In 2003, the CTSD Council established their first scholarship fund at Tarleton State University to provide financial assistance to incoming freshmen graduates from CTSD Council member schools. The $500 scholarships are financed by membership dues from school districts and are awarded over a two-semester period.

The CTSD Council is housed in the Department of Educational Leadership and Technology at Tarleton State University. The department and university provide technical resources and support for CTSD Council activities.
