The recent pandemic caused educators around the globe to adapt their instruction overnight. Face-to-face instruction was modified into hybrid or online courses, which produced unique challenges and obstacles in EC-12 and higher education classrooms. ESP would like to showcase educators using innovative instructional strategies during this time. Contributors should either be practitioners in EC-12 or higher education. The Journal of the Effective School Project (JESP) editorial committee will evaluate articles submitted for publication consideration. Manuscripts must adhere to the following guidelines to be considered:

  1. Cover Page: Include the following information on the cover page: title of the manuscript, name(s) of author(s), primary author’s email address, primary author’s phone number, school district/school name or institutional affiliation, biographical information about each author (not to exceed 50 words per author).
  2. Cover Letter: Submit a cover letter with the title of the manuscript and a short paragraph explaining the relationship of the article to the theme of the special issue. At the bottom, please indicate that the article represents original material and is not currently under consideration by any other publication.
  3. Length/Style of Manuscript & Photographs: The manuscript should be 500-1000 words (excluding references, cover page, and cover letter) and reflect effective practices in our new virtual world. Please begin the manuscript with a 100-150 word abstract, and remove any identifying information for the peer-review process. Manuscripts must conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2020, 7th ed.). All photos embedded in the manuscript must have participants’ permission to be included in the manuscript for possible publication. Students who are younger than 18 years old must have guardian consent for their photographs to be displayed in the manuscript for possible publication.

To submit your manuscript for review, please email your three documents to Pearce@tarleton.edu.

Manuscripts will be accepted for review until June 15, 2020, for this issue. After an initial review by the editor, articles that meet editorial specifications will be sent to the journal reviewers and comments/suggestions will be sent back to the author with a decision.

The journal editor reserves the right to make editorial changes, but any proposed changes will be discussed with the primary author prior to publication.
