President’s Guaranteed Scholarship Program
The President’s Guaranteed Scholarship Program guarantees a minimum amount in Tarleton scholarships to incoming transfer students based on GPA and course load. Students transferring from a Distinguished College Partner school are eligible for a larger scholarship award level as indicated in the table below:

We offer virtual Transfer Information Sessions led by Tarleton Admission Counselors. We review Tarleton transfer requirements, programs offered, frequently asked questions, academic advising, financial aid, scholarships and more. We look forward to seeing you!
What credits will transfer?
- If you are core complete at another Texas public college or university, you will be considered core complete at Tarleton State
- Maximum of 90 credit hours can be applied to a 120-credit hour bachelor’s degree
- Training may count as college credit for select degree programs; ask us to learn more

Academic Advising Guides are available for each program offered at Tarleton State University. The guides enable you to choose courses that will apply to your degree at Tarleton while attending another institution.
