Make sure to stop by the W.K. Gordon Center's booth at RipFest 2013 in downtown Eastland on October 5, 2013. The festival takes place on the Courthouse Square in downtown Eastland from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be over 100 vendors of arts & crafts and a delicious variety of food. RipFest is a celebration of our famed horned toad, "Old Rip", that slept in the cornerstone of the Eastland County Courthouse from 1897 until 1928. The day begins with a parade on Main Street, followed by entertainment on the Square, booths, games, music, great food, and a fun time for the whole family. Close the day out with the Eastland Fire Department Fish Fry and Bull-Riding at the Leon River Cowboy Church. For more information, please call Cecil Funderburgh at 254-629-2332
