Step 1: Complete Graduation Application

All potential graduates (undergraduate and graduate) must apply for graduation for the semester they will complete all degree requirements. All applicants will be considered as eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony; however, participation is not mandatory. Please review the important graduation application instructions and deadlines below.

  • Select “Student”
  • Select “DuckTrax Menu”
  • Select “Online Services & Financial Aid”
  • Select “Student Records”
  • Select “Apply for Graduation”
  • Complete Graduation Application

Step 2: Receive Confirmation

Applicants will receive a confirmation notification via student email after they apply for graduation. Applicants can also confirm their graduation application was received if their “Degree Status” in Degree Works indicates “Pending (appl for graduation)”.

Step 3: Complete Degree Requirements

Applicants must complete all degree requirements in order to graduate and receive their diploma. Degree requirements can be found in the University Catalog and Degree Works in myGateway. Applicants with questions or concerns regarding degree requirements should consult an advisor.

Step 4: Receive Graduation Clearance

Undergraduate Applicants

Undergraduate applicants will receive a status notification via student email after the graduation application deadline. Applicants should monitor their student email regularly for updates regarding their graduation application.

Graduate Applicants
