Study Abroad in Urbino, Italy is a unique program open to Honors College students. The Honors College hosts a four-week summer program in Urbino that focuses on the Italian Renaissance. Your gift will help to lower the cost for a student to participate significantly.
Since 2014 Honors College has been able to provide a month-long study abroad program in Urbino, Italy, every summer. This program has become the largest study abroad program at Tarleton growing from only 21 students on the inaugural trip in 2014 to 48 in 2022. That is a growth of 129%!
Donors of $1,000 or more will receive correspondence from a student while they are in Urbino.
Donors under $1,000 will contribute to the overall program costs to reduce student expenses.
Study Abroad programs equip students with international experiences, language capabilities, and cross-cultural communication skills necessary to succeed in the global economy. Learning how to interact with people from other countries and cultures equips future leaders to address urgent issues shared across borders.
Setting up the program, recruiting students, preparing students for living in another country, and raising money for the program are year-round activities. None of this growth and exploration would be possible without our generous donors.
