Mission
The mission of the Office of Institutional Analytics, Effectiveness, and Accreditation is to provide information and conduct research which supports institutional planning, assessment, policy analysis, and decisions leading to institutional effectiveness.
Outcome Objectives
- Divisional and departmental leaders will acquire or have the knowledge needed to prepare and complete unit strategic plans and assessment reports.
- Annual and semester Fact Books will be used widely in the university community.
- Institutional Analytics, Effectiveness, and Accreditation will provide a leadership role in achieving valid and reliable sources of information.
- Administrators will receive accurate, timely, useful information when making special requests.
- Institutional Analytics, Effectiveness, and Accreditation will utilize the most efficient means available to achieve desired ends, including technologies, strategies, design, and methods.
Scope
The Office of Institutional Analytics, Effectiveness, and Accreditation monitors and assists with the:
- Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Access and Equity Plan,
- Information Resources Plan,
- Coordinating Board’s Educational Technology Plan,
- Texas A&M University Systems’ Enrollment Management and Crisis Management Plans, and the
- Master Facilities Plan.
These special plans are evaluated for consistency and comparability with Tarleton’s Strategic Plan.
Research
The Office of Institutional Analytics, Effectiveness, and Accreditation is responsible for:
- Coordinating the general function of institutional research.
- Conducting research to answer questions about and for Tarleton.
- Designing research strategies to collect data, to analyze data statistically, to present data, and to create reports.
- Writing and distributing reports.
- Making campus and Texas A&M University System presentations.
